I don't think "rising costs" mean one whit to those State workers in Salem. Spending $46,734.69 per bed makes one wonder about their sanity. $458 million would go a long way towards patching up the old hospital. And the construction costs are just a start. In the meantime, all the crazies are getting SSI and whatever else they want.
